Ashley had already been through two other people trying to get her website fixed before she came to me, and both times she was left feeling hopeless about ever getting it where she wanted it. On top of a full-time job and parenting, she just didn't have the time or energy to keep searching for the tools and resources to make her Squarespace site look and function the way she needed it to.

Where We Started

Ashley built her site herself, and it was overwhelming her every time she opened it. There wasn't a clear homepage header, her three core services were crammed onto a single page with no real path between them, nothing was optimized for mobile, and there was no SEO in place to help people find her. She'd tried to get outside help twice already, and neither attempt got her closer to a site that felt like her or supported the way she wanted to work with clients.

What I Did

We kicked off the 20-hour Behind the Scenes Build with a mini brand refresh, keeping Ashley's existing logo, but updating her color palette and font pairing to feel more cohesive and more her. From there, I:

Rebuilt the Home, Services, and Contact pages from the ground up
Gave each core service — Digital Photo Organizing, Photo Scanning, and Custom Album Design — its own dedicated page with updated copy, layout, and photos
Fixed the technical basics that were working against her: missing H1 tags, no meta titles or descriptions, unoptimized images
Added on-page SEO sitewide, including keyword-rich alt text and image compression
Made the entire site mobile responsive, since it had never been checked on a phone before
Set up embedded intake forms with contracts attached, so clients can request a project and sign an agreement in one step

The Result

Ashley now has a site that reflects the care and heart she puts into her actual work, instead of one that made her feel stuck every time she looked at it.
